Foundation Workshops in Compassionate Communication for Helping Professionals: Doctors and Counselling staff

Two day foundation workshops in NVC are offered for people interested in commencing nonviolent communication. The workshops are very experiential with a variety of training methods used including didactic, metaphor, small groups and practice sessions used with wide variety of aids including overhead slides, puppets and stories. This workshop will include:

• Introduction to NVC and its use both personally and as professional.
• How to use NVC with people you are working with.
• Underlying theory behind NVC: Rogerian person centered approaches and where it fits with CBT.
• Using NVC as an educational tool in counseling as well as a counseling method.
• Use of puppets with people you are working with.
