Welcome... to a directory of Nonviolent Communication trainings, services and resources available in Australia.
What is Nonviolent Communication? Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a simple, effective and learnable four step process developed by psychologist Marshall Rosenberg PhD in 1964. It has been used successfully around the world to resolve conflicts and to deepen connections in personal relationships, schools, hospitals, corporations and governments. The heart of NVC is to identify universal human needs and what can be done to meet those needs. Even in situations of longstanding conflict or hostility, the NVC process can open new doors to compassionate connection and action. nvcaustralia.com is part of a global community supporting the learning and sharing of NVC. This website offers links to NVC resources that can help you gain an understanding of the process, and local trainings that can help you gain the NVC tools and skills for effective and compassionate communication. NVC Practice Groups within Australia are also listed, offering opportunities to learn and practice NVC together. If you need assistance locating the information you need, feel free to contact us at admin@nvcaustralia.com.
